Welcome to the Lesson Jam Wiki. This is a site for language teachers who have taken part in or are interested in taking part in a lesson jam.

What is a Lesson Jam?

A lesson jam is an event designed for teachers to meet up and share ideas, techniques and experience. There are five stages and by the end of the fifth stage, each group of teachers has planned and presented a lesson together. For more details, visit this page.

So far lesson jams have taken place in Berlin, Frankfurt, between Berlin and Cairo as well as between Chernivtsi and Sao Paulo.

Teaching can be a lonesome profession. Lesson jams bring teachers together to work together. In the process, we hope that teachers have fun with colleagues and learn from one another. Sometimes over some very long distances.

Why a Lesson Jam Wiki?

The main purpose of this wiki is for past lesson jammers to reflect on the lesson jams that they have taken part in and to share their lesson plans. We hope that potential lesson jammers or just interested visitors to the wiki can learn from what we've done so far.
